Cyclocross (CX) is a fall and winter discipline raced on a closed-circuit course of grass, sand, mud, and short technical sections that require running with the bike. Races are short and punchy — typically 40–60 minutes — and the discipline rewards bike-handling skill over pure endurance. CX bikes look like gravel bikes but with steeper geometry, narrower 33mm tires (for UCI events), and racier tire tread.
